Ordering a cheesesteak in Philly is done with a certain “no-nonsense” lingo. Skip the small talk. Tell the cashier your choice of cheese and if you want friend onions. To order like a Philadelphian, use two simple words like “wiz wit” or “American witout.” eaning cheese whiz with onions, or American cheese without onions.
Chicken cheesesteaks, and additional toppings such as peppers, buffalo sauce, or pizza sauce have also become common options.
Here at Hungry Bear, we are sticking true to the traditional Philly Cheesesteak options. In addition, we have come up with a few other variations! Try our Southern, or BLT cheesesteak sandwiches. All sandwiches are served on Amoroso hoagie rolls, a Philadelphia favorite since 1904.
